WELCOME TO THE BLOG!

Digitella Co. just launched, yippee! I’m so excited to get this show on the road and start this business. A few years back, I had another business, Cielo Creative Studio. To put it simply, it was a failure (a story for another time). In the six months I was open, I made a whopping total of $50 and spent more than that (at least I think so, my business accounting skills were also not up to par). So this time ‘round, I’m trying to learn from my mistakes and do things right. I thought for my first blog post, I would tell y’all a little bit about me, why I started Digitella Co., and what you can expect.

ABOUT ME

I’m Ella, a Vermonter-turned-Coloradan. I live on the Western Slope and love to spend my time in the mountains around me. That could be on the lakes, hiking trails, dirt roads, or camping sites. When I’m home, I am either working on say latest project, with my family and friends, curled up with a good book, or looking at Pinterest. I recently graduated, taking classes centered around entrepreneurship and the skills I need to be my own boss. I love bread, Cabot cheddar cheese, and peanut butter.

I have always loved technology and design. I love messing around with whatever new piece of tech is in front of me or creating a design for whatever project I’ve thought up. I love making websites, I’ll just sit for hours working (bad habit, I know) on my new little baby. I also love writing, I have tried writing some books, but I can never seem to finish them. For my last business, I wrote an ebook all about Instagram for new businesses. Hopefully, I will be adding some more ebooks to my shop in the near future. So as to not get ahead of myself, let’s move on!

You can read even more about me and my mission as the owner of Digitella Co. under the ‘About’ tab, or by clicking here.

WHY I STARTED DIGITELLA CO

I always knew that once I graduated, I would want to either find a job where I could work remotely from anywhere in the Americas or to start my own business where I could support my lifestyle from anywhere in the world. In the months before I graduated and in the months following, I submitted so many applications to remote jobs that I’ve lost count. I’ve reasoned that the coronavirus pandemic has made many people turn to working from home and scooping up all the jobs. That, or because people from all over the world can apply, saturating the pool of applicants.

To make the odds turn in my favor, I started pursuing my second option - that of owning my own business. I wanted something simple, something where I wouldn’t have to work full-time in order to have time to pursue the other interests and goals I have. I also wanted to give others the same opportunity, instead of working on their business all the time, to have the chance to spend time doing others things they loved.

I want to help you give yourself time to do something other than work, while allowing myself to enjoy the same treatment.

Do you feel bogged down and overwhelmed with your business, like you never get a break, and that instead of having more free time working from home, you have less? I have felt the same exact way. I want to help you, offering some of the services that would have freed up HOURS of my time if I had made use of a virtual assistant.

WHAT TO EXPECT

IMG_0812.jpg

I am starting with offering three basic virtual assistant services. These include inbox management, web maintenance, and copywriting. You can read more about them here. I have broken down each of these services in detail to explain what services they are made up of. Additionally, I will take on custom needs that are not any of the three that I have listed when my schedule allows for it. These services could include, but are most definitely not limited to: social media management, data entry, event planning, and basic design work. For more frequent updates and to follow along with what I am doing, you can follow me on Instagram.

Every week there will be a new Digitella Co. blog post as well. These blog posts may or may not be business related. Some topics I might cover are travel, the outdoors, my business, how-to articles, virtual assistant and small business tips, and pretty much anything else that comes to mind.

In addition to this blog and my newsletters. I also have an online shop! While there are no items for sale currently, I am working on some digital goodies. I am planning on only selling e-resources and digital items, so there will be no physical packages for you to receive. These items will most likely include ebooks, photo editing presets, guides, templates, wallpapers, and more. If you have any suggestions or requests, please email me!

On social media, you will find updates, probably the majority of my public marketing (if you have any out-of-this-world marketing tips, let me know! I will be eternally grateful), and any discounts or announcements I have.

ALL IN ALL…

To wrap up my short little blog post, I want to invite you to reach out to me. Whether that is to just say howdy + hello, to inquire about my services, or to offer a simple suggestion. I will gladly welcome any constructive criticism you offer. I hope to see you somewhere soon!
